Upright meaning

Justice is the sword and the scales, which popular tarot turns into “you will win in court.” Omen’s card is colder and cleaner. The ledger is open. Not cosmic punishment — consequence. What was given and what was taken are asking to be named without poetry. Fairness is colder than kindness and cleaner than revenge. The hinge is tell the true cost, including the one you have been discounting: the hours, the dignity, the money, the way you keep rounding down your own side or inflating someone else’s crime. Upright, this can be a legal or contractual moment, a moral inventory, a need to apologise without a speech, a need to stop apologising for a boundary. It is a poor card for spiritual bypass. If you have been calling imbalance “complexity,” Justice will not be charmed. If you have been chasing revenge in the costume of fairness, it will not be charmed either. Exact weight includes your own hand on the scale.

As today’s hinge

As a daily card, name a true cost. One. Write it without adjectives. The hinge is the discounted line — the labour you called love, the harm you called a joke, the invoice you never sent. Do not spend the day prosecuting everyone else. Do not spend it granting yourself a mistrial. Exact weight is usually quieter than a verdict speech.

In a decision spread

In situation, the choice already has a ledger: a contract, a debt, a fairness question, a consequence arriving. In obstacle, bias, revenge, or kindness used to avoid the numbers. In path, tell the truth of the cost and live with the colder fairness. A job offer under Justice is often about terms, not vibe. A leave-or-stay question is about what has actually been exchanged.
